On the 25th May 2018 new legislation comes into effect that will add additional requirements to UK businesses, charities and other organisations which hold personally identifiable information about their clients, and the public in general.

In it the UK government states: ‘The GDPR will apply in the UK from 25 May 2018. The government has confirmed that the UK’s decision to leave the EU will not affect the commencement of the GDPR.’
